Summer fun at Snowbird

It has been awhile since I last posted. Thought I would share some fun summer pics. My Mom has a timeshare condo at Snowbird. I have been going there with my family for as long as I can remember. Husband had to work so I took the boys up for the day and we had a great time with my family. They loved the Alpine Slide, bouncy house and slide, swimming and the bubbles that Nana brought for them. There is really nothing better than quality family time!

poor kiddo has been under the weather. The one good thing about sick kids, is great cuddling. He has been so snuggly (or clingy-depending on what things I am trying to accomplish when he reaches up to me with those sweet little arms). Had to post this picture of him so content in Daddy's arms.

I do not want the work week to begin. Today was a great day with my family. It is so nice just being together with no pressure from the outside world. I got to snuggle with all three of my guys today and it was heavenly!

I love watching the kiddos learn new things. Mister is so observant and mimics what he learns very quickly. Monkey, on the other hand is very independent and stubborn. He wants to do it on his own, his way.

Husband is such a great teacher. Very patient with them both, very loving. Today, I am counting my blessings and these men in my life are defiantly number one!

I can't sleep.

I have so many things running through my head right now. I thought maybe I could get some of the craziness out with a blog post, but they are so jumbled up inside of me that I can't seem to untangle them enough for this page.
One main thought: "I have so much abundance in my life. May the Lord help me to overcome the obstacles that bind me from truly appreciating those blessings."

and it is only Tuesday! I am down in a valley of the ups and downs of life right now--but slowly climbing my way out and to the top of a beautiful mountain. Thanks to all those who hike right by my side when I need a life-line. Thanks most especially to Lord of all creation for the mountains (and the valleys). I am learning so much about myself along the way. One foot in front of the other, right?!?

...wait, can I actually say, "fellow bloggers" if I only blog once or twice a year? Anyway, I have been inspired by my friend Brenna to be better with my blogging atempts. Thing is, I need help with the technical side of things. I want it to be cute and have fun stuff on it. Anyone want to volunteer to come give me a blogger breakdown? I will feed you lunch!

I've just been extremely busy! I became a mom of two since I last wrote!!!!! There are days when I look at my two beautiful boys and think, "Heavenly Father must really love me to trust me with these two precious spirits"! I am blessed beyond measure.

Our oldest, who we will call "Mister" is very observant! He has been interested in everything big and small about this world since the moment he was born.

Our youngest (by 25 min.), who we will call "Monkey" is quite athletic. He climbs on everything and everyone, plays ball and was the first to walk. All of which was surprising to us considering he is the smaller of the two and spent time in the NICU after he was born.

Life is good, happy, full and CRAZY as ever!

Husband wants it to be Ogre, so Ogre it is. I have agreed to go with this only because he said he will go on strike from the long honey-do list that "we" have created to be accomplished before the babies get here. So, although I can't bring myself to think of my cute husband as an Ogre every time that I write about him, I will concede. I didn't even know how to spell it in the first post, but Ogre's do have layers (as Shrek so poetically pointed out) and my husband is a man of many layers so I guess it fits in some way.
We will have to see if it lasts once the honey-do work is done. :)

I have been putting off this blogging thing for way too long. "Blog Schmog", I used to say. But now we have two little boys on the way. I keep thinking that I will need a place to share all the precious things that they will do; so here we go.
The biggest hold up has been dial-up internet at home. This very cumbersome problem has now been solved with high-speed internet. Therefore, I really have no excuse not to start posting pictures and the deepest ponderings of my heart and mind.
I do have some issues with putting a bunch of personal information on the internet. Therefore, for the purposes of this blog, I will be known as Queen Bee, my husband will be Husband (I know, so un-original, but after asking him what nick name he would like and getting suggestions like The Ogar, I had to take matters into my own hands. If you have a better suggestion, please post a comment). We haven't even come up with actual names for our boys yet so the nick names for this blog will have to present themselves later. For now, we will call them baby A and baby B.
